Today's Trendy Sarees which are more popular

The quintessential Indian garment – the saree has been redesigned and made to look more glamourous each time over. Today Indian sarees online are available in many fabrics, colours, embellishments and styles. Here’s a lowdown of popular sarees available these days.

Utsav sarees

Utsav sarees are art sarees with extremely thoughtful patterns and prints on the six-yard garment. This variety of sarees are usually made in a variety of fabrics such as raw and crepe silk, georgette, chiffon, net and cotton. The sarees are further embellished with zari work, butis, floral embroideries and designer borders.

Bridal sarees
This collection ensures that the bride can opt for more contemporary bridal colours, like purple, green, beige, teal and fuchsia. After all brides these days look for options other than red. This will ensure that your saree is perfect for the biggest day of your life. There are designer bridal sarees done by designers such as Harpreet Narula, Manish Malhotra, Neeta Lulla, Kalki, Satya Paula and Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The embellishments on the sarees are also unique. A would-be bride can pick diamante work, LCD stone, appliqué and sequins among many other styles.

Banarasi saree
The brocade work on Banarasi sarees reflects exquisite royalty. These sarees are done up with patchwork or intricate patterns in gold and silver that adds a touch of royalty. The pallu of a Banarasi is intricate and narrates beautiful themes. The gold thread work is done laboriously and makes use of age-old traditional styles along with a few modern techniques.

Net sarees
Net sarees are a contemporary discovery. These look nice on women with slim, well-toned bodies (particularly torsos). Usually net sarees are available in pastel colours such as pink, lavender, blue, grey, silver etc.

Chiffon sarees
Chiffon and georgette sarees are usually plain sarees with attractive borders and pallus. The rest of the saree is kept low key so that the border and pallu can grab all the attention.

Lehenga sarees
Lehenga saree is a popular party outfit which combines a traditional lehenga choli and a saree. This modern amalgamation of two classic outfits makes this garment a preferred choice among girls and women. The fact that a lengha style saree is easy to drape makes it a common trend with party-goers today.
